Razor MX500 Electric Dirt Bike
| Customer Reviews: |
The Razor MX500 electric dirt bike is the medium sized and most popular bike in Razor’s family of electric motorbikes. The main difference of this bike from its MX650 counterpart is the engine power, which is 500 watts as opposed to 650. This means that although the bike runs in the same way and has about the same top speed of 17 mph, it is slightly less powerful than the 650 watt model and can therefore handle slightly less serious terrain.
However this smaller engine size also plays to the bikes advantage, as it charges several hours faster than the larger model. This bike is fast and fun on any terrain, but performs most surprisingly well on dirt, and is easily capable of pulling basic maneuvers such as small jumps and slide turns. The Razor MX500 also features a retractable kickstand and double-crown fork with an authentic overall dirt bike appearance. This bike is guaranteed to provide the rider with hours of motorbiking fun.

Razor Pocket Rocket
| Customer Reviews: |
The Razor Pocket Rocket is the smallest and most entry level in Razor’s extensive family of electric motorbikes. This bike is fun, fast, and perfect for beginners. Holding only a small, but high torque motor the Pocket Rocket can reach speeds of up to 15mph and ride for about an hour on a single charge. The battery takes about 12 hours to charge fully making it only possible to ride once or twice a day.
The bike itself is designed like a miniature street bike making it very fun and unique to ride, and is also extremely quiet thanks to its electric motor. The Razor Pocket Rocket features small pneumatic tires for an exceptionally smooth ride, a standard twist grip throttle for authenticity, and a safe-stop rear brake to prevent accidental face plants. Retailing at about half the price of other electric motorbikes the Pocket Rocket is sure to be a hit with any kid.
An electric dirt bike is much quieter than a gas powered dirt bike, so it is a good choice for people who have a lot of neighbors that they don’t want to bother by making too much noise. Another great benefit of the electric dirt bike is that it requires much less maintenance than the gas powered alternative.
There are no oil changes necessary, and you also don’t have to worry about changing the air filter. The costliest part of an electric dirt bike to maintain is the battery, as you will want to upgrade the battery from time to time. However, this cost is easily offset by the savings on gasoline and the maintenance that comes with any vehicle powered by fossil fuels, which you won’t have to worry about.
Most models weigh a little bit over 100 lbs and many can support a person who weighs up to 220 lbs. The batteries in these bikes are typically capable of supporting 10 miles and 40 minutes of continuous riding. The top speed of most models is between 15 and 20 miles per hour.
Although they are not as fast as most motorcycles, they still go fast enough that it is important to wear safety gear whenever you ride. This is especially true if you intend to take your dirt bike to a dirt bike park to do jumps and tricks. A helmet is essential, and you will probably want to wear a jacket, knee pads, and elbow pads to protect you in case you fall while learning a new trick.
